THE REGULATORY CONTEXT
NSW fire safety law now requires documented compliance.
Every building must demonstrate documented compliance, maintained by a competent person, with records retained on site. Annual Fire Safety Statements may only be endorsed by government-registered accredited practitioners.
The first full annual service deadline under the new framework is February 2027.
